Iron sharpening iron We're coming together and also we consider each other because we are.The true sense of the word Ministry is about people and as we Minister to one another we're able to grow together in love, Grace and Holiness and so small groups is very important and in light of present-day climate in light of our present climate, a small group very important because many churches have a church buildings If you would houses of worship, churches and and not let me qualify that the building is the House of prayer. That's the place, but the church is the people and some people, said the church. When the pandemic took place is plague or what have you, but the church never stopped, We've continued on. We may have been displaced or out of the place the House of worship, but we're the church and we worship anywhere so hence the cloud conference. We're in this virtual space now where utilizing social media and I subscribe to the seven mountains of cultural influence and one of those mountains is the mountain of media and of course. Over that mountain of media, social media and other vehicles organs of media, we're taking over that now to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is being spread faster than ever now in light of the pandemic and some people see a problem with the pandemic. No, I have a praise because of the pandemic because the gospel is being spread and every day every day, The Gospel is being spread as opposed to Wednesdays or midweek and Sundays. but. All as God's people, we're getting together so small groups back to small groups. We should take advantage of these opportunities all we've heard it said. All challenges are nothing but opportunities and so let's take this opportunity to spread the gospel and to build. Up and small groups will help us because after I'm saved what's next often times we get saved and then that's it.

They evangelist team brought us in God to say we love the Lord and now no one 's teaching teaching us how to live a kingdom principles. Yes, I'm going to the kingdom, but I should live like the Kingdom on Earth, so small groups will help us with that with our discussion And our teams coming together and having the healthy dialogue and fruitful conversation.I call it this class. It's just an introductory course because there's several steps that we need to take in regard Bishop that's that's excellent and that the response of the class is absolutely incredible. What Bishop, but I appreciate you asking that question, because that's a certainly one of my passions because we have to deal with these mountains. We have to deal with these kingdoms that shape our living. They influence our living and some people will say well, you know the church. There's a separation between church and state, but really, if you think about it in the United States of America, there's no separation between church and state because God forbid if the church is on fire the fire. Apartment that's paid by the government taxpayers are gonna come and put the fire out and then if there's a separation between church and state, then we as believers shouldn't be voting. If there's a certain direction between church and state right, the says that God is government and we involve and and to influence as we read the Holy Scripture as we read the Holy Scripture please be clear when the King government. Listen to the Prophet that prevail the nation prosper, but then when the King became arrogant and disregarded disrespected the profit, which is the voice of God, then nation began to plummet and so we're to be involved and we need to listen. We need to vote out problems and elect solutions and so the church we need to be. Creating policies changing laws that thing we need to see that the table. Yeah.

What's up everybody welcome to behind the cloud. We're behind the cloud now. Share your screen Let's start the watch party. Let us know where you're from what region. What City and state you from. There's no where you're watching this from. Got a special treat for you today, but it's gonna be hot today. It's gonna be good. We're gonna be inspired. What's up New Iberia Kesha I bet they call your key in your neighborhood or something like that. What's up Pastor Teddy cross congratulations to pastor Teddy. He's a son of our founder. He's pastoring now in Raleigh, Mississippi, He can preach he can sing. He can do it all a shout out to you. Man Much love to you. Pastor Teddy Carson Everybody get to see him on. So I got a little nostalgic for you. okay. First of all. let's do this take pictures today and let us know let's take a picture of you watching of the conference right and then post it and make sure you use the hashtags Full Gospel Conference on 2020. F G phone put don't put them up It's gonna be good. We're gonna we're gonna we're gonna start we're gonna start speaking of starting the trick. I had to use it up a little louder than normal. I want you to hear his voice. Y'all know who that is. Elvis Stephanie dot Whenever you see somebody that is uniquely anointed, you must understand something that oil came from somewhere. He anoints my head with oil My Cup runs over and and and today I'm gonna show you what this anointing comes from. We're gonna talk a little bit about his class, but also he's the third presiding bishop. The presiding bishop Bishop, L Lawrence Y'all clap it up for Bishop. What's up. Hey nothing much. You're the man. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. You're good man. We honor sir. Oh listen. I'm grateful to God to be here.

You are a blessing and this is a blessing and and the conference is has already been amazing and it's a good thing that we're behind the cloud because there's protection behind the cloud. Yeah. Yeah, Yeah Bishop. now we also know that one of the reasons for the cloud conference is to help people reimagine their lives and in particular how we get back to church and we recently found something out about you that you have some expertise in this particular area and it is the class that you talk today and we would all my classes earlier. Everybody was saying how much they enjoyed or your class and it is on on small groups. On small, first of all a shout out on on the education behind it or shout out on that, tell us a little bit about that bishop and then tell us a little bit about what you thought in your class. What I appreciated But first of all, Thank you and we're grateful to God for our presiding bishop who's just has so much wisdom and we're grateful for his very life and of course our founder we're grateful for him and and then, of course nostalgia I have to mention Stephanie Dawson. You brought tears to my eyes. She's with the Lord now but we're just. Before she was my baby, Oh my God one of our greats at Praise Temple here in the Shreveport but a little bit about the class. I'm currently enrolled at the Oral Roberts University pursuing my doctorate of Ministry degree. If we it's small groups of very important. It's really returning back to the acts principle where the church was growing exponential. Phenomenal things were happening in the church and and so the apostles decide to break it down and encourage people to go from House to House and House to House Ministry into have dialogue and discussion.Relationship when we're in a small group setting, there's feedback and there's more serious Ministry happening because there's dialogue in there's questions being asked and questions are being answered.

so if they rape the speed limit when the lord of the speed limit and as you and I drive, you know we see at the table at the people where it is most streets are on Sunday evening with your son, No sir, No sir don't blame on that booty. All the police so you don't have to. Oh, too funny too funny. So I'm I'm involve the Lord has honored me to speak to government. I'm a chaplain for the Louisiana State Police. I mean chaplain for our Caddo Parish district attorney. I'm a captain for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. I'm a chaplain for the city of Shreveport, Marshall's office and a chaplain for the city of Shreveport Fire Department and Grateful that when there are issues, my mayor he'll reach out to me my fire chief police. I mean you name it, they will reach out and of course I would text them often and praying for them and certainly standing in prayer. I've learned as God's people. We shouldn't go in with the hats in our hand, but we should go in to be influencers and that's what they're looking for because again, anybody They anybody goes in and asking. Can you do this for us. Can you do no? I wanna see that the table to create policies? let's. Because we need some systemic changes and even out I've shared with our political leaders that the out the parts beyond the protest beyond the rap is we gotta get beyond that and let's create systemic changes. There's criminal Justice need to be reformed prison reform. But the ones who are sending our children to jail for marijuana are flying to Colorado in California, smoking it ain't coming back and in the jail you see. So we need to create systemic change, but we can't just be in the church within the four walls of the House of Prayer, shouting and dancing, and that's it no wheat involved in government. We need to be involved in a culture that's called Marc. As you know, Marketplace Ministry. It's important for us to make a difference. We can shout. We can dance. We can preach.

We can sing We can holler, but what's next, There's through Saturday that we need to influence. Not just on Sundays But Monday through Saturday, we need to influence the lives of the people and how do we do it. We do it with government because the government is the are the ones who are creating laws.Yes, shoulders. God is government. Yes. Absolutely. we're talking to the third presiding bishop you all and many of you all we know that this is your first time experiencing anything well with the full gospel. Baptist Church never had an opportunity to go to the conference never had an opportunity to share some of the things that we do and so now, here's your first time that you have an opportunity to meet one of our top leaders of our fellowship. Our presiding bishop thought a great class today great principles all day long Bishop enclosing in the midst of Covid- 19 in the midst of racial unrest. Your bishop in God's church, you're a great pastor with several locations.Bishop tell us about that because I think now you've been able to teach us how to deal with grief and at a level. None of us want to experience and so many of us are grieving now and we're locked in you can't get out tell us bishop first of all about your personal tragedy and what did you use to get through it and how we can help us This is your boy take the time and I really appreciate that question. And of course there are those of you know that I've I've written two books in regards to my pain. My first book was treasures in the dark, well, the first book that I wrote to help. Was a faith that feels like lying because they're they there's times that our faith. We just feel like when we confess and believe God it feels like we're lying Amen, but with God helps us through it. So from struggle to strength, then my second book was treasures in the darkness.

My son was killed in the book after that, I wrote private pain public victory, my son Larry Lawrence Brandon, The third was snatched out of my life in March of of of. 2009 Snatched out of my life ripped out of my life and I'm just saying Lord how could this happen to me as I've been ministering and helping other families and people. How could this happen to me and I was this and I was in a space I was in when it happened, I I had I had to keep my game face on. I went and ministered.I told my wife, Wanda Brandon and Co pastor Wanda Lynette Brandon I shared with her as I get with our children and pull them. I don't want them to hear what happened, pull them together. I'll be home in the moment I win. I ministered. Nobody knew the difference that I came home and share with my family and of course my children.I was angry with God. In fact I in my mind, I was preparing things and even I went to the church and began to prepare a things my. Didn't even know this, I was preparing and hear me clearly that pain is pain. It doesn't matter what your title is so I was preparing the church and getting things right because I was gonna fly to California and do damage. I hey, I don't give up Ministry and have a prison Ministry. I was gonna do damage and find the person who killed my son but the Lord while I was driving crying before the Lord and just going through upset and then Arri. The building that the House of Prayer praise temple preparing and making sure things were in order before I catch a flight. The Lord spoke to my spirit and gave me scripture and it was the psalmist in Psalm 60. - one verse one through two when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that's higher than I and so God ministered to me.I sat there. I didn't wanna do anything. I'm I said as a they said, well, you wanna do and I just didn't wanna do nothing. I sat there. I kept my smile on, but people didn't know the pain I was experiencing people didn't that didn't really. They saw me smiling.

They thought I was okay, but I knew that I was not okay but I. Sat there, but I was praying and asking the Lord to help because I'm looking at my son before it gone till ripped out of my life at the age of 20 and so I am at the end when the preacher preaching and he was about to wrap up.I thank God for my. Mother our spiritual mother first laid mother the fellowship I should say pastor Deborah Morton he flew in.They were there just loving on me. I stood and God led me to and and pastor Pastor the Deborah was there she She can tell you I stood and extended the invitation. To give their lives to Christ even some refugees, they look like they came to the hats off crying before the Lord given their lives to Christ and as I stood there, I repented unto the Lord as the Lord. You know my heart. I can't hide you know. I'm angry you. I was angry but Lord Thank you and I repented unto the Lord and then I'd that's when the Lord gave me the book to write and. And here we are here we are at Bishop Love. The Lord led me to open a transitional home for boys and so it's named after my son the L Brandon transitional home for boys, The mayor of the time Mayor Ali honored me and named the Street after my son, Larry Lawrence, Larry and the third circle.Led transition home for boys because I said to the devil you came to my House. I'm going to your House. God gave me the vision and I share the vision and everyone's behind me and then listen God open doors of the there's a a home right behind our church. They were built a new home. They moved the way they're gonna sell the building, but the Lord, but the Lord comes the hearts and they gave us a building valued at one point. Three million dollars. We renovated the building and it's on six.

Is a property and that 44000 square feet and now we're contracted with the state of Louisiana, The Office of Juvenile Justice to serve 30 boys and we have miracles and success stories coming out of there and that's why I wrote the second book from private pain. I was in pain privately privately to victory and here we are today a transitional home for boys now, I'm I'm as I'm building people. We have an initiative. And out now because of this because of my pain and a call help our homies and so we're contacting homeless man. We're putting them up in the homes free of charge for six months, providing wrap around services to get ready for society. We've partnered with the Juvenile with the Department of Corrections and now they're releasing inmates to us. We have a strong reentry. Helping our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated, helping them for six months to get them to reenter into society, so they don't have to return to prison and so I shared with them all that the boys and these men that you have the opportunities you can travel down the journey of the road to success on the road to prison or the road to your grave. I I hope you choose success so all of this has happened because of pain and so. Where there's there, there was a sacrificial lamb and now God did all of this for us and I I stand on so I remind everyone even though doing it 19. God is sovereign all pass and we win and I stand on so trauma trauma and everyone needs to talk to someone open up and talk to someone that you trust don't talk to someone who the gossip or need deliverance to talk to someone who you can trust you. To vent to open up because again, we're in this human body, we're saved, but we're in this human bodies and our Lord Jesus will help us and he'll use other people to help us to cross over. So I'm grateful to God. I'm grateful to God for my pain because my pain has created public victory. Wow Bishop you've done so much man. Thank you. you've done that.

This latter characteristic is extremely useful when complex information needs to be shared as in the case of scientific diving operations and training. A full-face mask is a versatile piece of equipment that can be integrated in different diving configurations such as SCUBA, surface-supplied, tethered diving and rebreathers. There are a few specific safety issues that the divers need to address when using a full-face mask mostly because this system integrates both the mask and regulator into one single unit. Using a full-face mask, a diver will continue to breathe even in th e case of loss of consciousness, thereby increasing the chance of being successfully rescued (Mitchell et al., 2012; Pitkin A., 2003 ). In Because the mask also includes a regulator, water should not enter and therefore the visor cannot be cleared by flooding the mask; instead, i t must be defogged by another system such as a st ream of fresh air circulating along appropriate paths. Usually, fresh air enters the mask from the visor base and flows along its surface before entering th e oral-nasal mask. The exhaust air is then vented through the regulator baffles or a specific venting v alve. Scientific diving with a full-face mask Scientific diving focuses mostly on data collection, deployment of scientific instruments, collecting samples a nd perform ing a variety of underwater experiments that often require a h igh deg ree o f coordination between the divers and between divers and the surface. T he possibility of vocal communication when using a full-face mask allows for exchanging even complex information faster than with any other underwater communication technique, which makes this diving gear especially useful for scientific divers. The collected information can easily be communicated to the surface team, making underwater recording procedures unnecessary and simplifying and redu cing the diver’s workload. The use of a full-face enhances the safe ty and comfort of the diving activity mostly when such activity is performed in challenging env ironments such as cold, deep or polluted wate rs. Cold water and i ce diving are demanding activities that expose the diver to stress ful conditions both physically and mentally (Heine, 1996; Hendrick and Zaferes, 2003). Moreover, low temperatures may affect the performance of the diving gear, mostly regulators, leading to potential freezing of the first and second stage and causing free-flow.

There are a few specific safety issues that the divers need to address when using a full-face mask mostly bec ause this system integrates both the mask and regulator i nto one single unit. As is for a ny pi ece of diving equipment, full-face masks need proper kno wledge and training in diving procedures to be safely and proficiently used. There are a good number of different models available that, even though they share the same basic structure, are designed to fulfill different needs including recreational divers, technical divers, professional divers and the military. Keywords: ice diving, polluted waters, scientific diving, training, underwater communicators Introduction The term “full - face” refers to a mask designed to cover a diver ’s face including eyes, nose and mouth in a single volume, differing fr om the traditional “half - mask” whic h covers only the eyes and nose. The full-face mask therefore offers a higher degree of protection but nevertheless the head and the eardrums remain exposed to the surrounding water and should be taken in to consideration in specific circumstances such as when diving in pollu ted waters. Using a full-face mask, the diver can breathe throug h the nose. Because a mouthpiece is not needed, it is possible to speak with other divers and the surface team when the ful l face is equipped with communicators. In general, full -face masks are equipped with an on- demand second stage regulator, which is activated when the pressure inside the mask drops after the inhalation phase. The air is then vented outside through the regulator exhaust valve or, in some models, through a dedicated valve usually placed on the bottom of the mask frame. A few models can be equipped with a positive-pressure regulator that is able to maintain an inner pressure above that of the surrounding environm ent with a controlled continuous flow of breathing gas inside the mask.

Pouring hot water on the mask as a deicing procedure should be avoided because the induced thermal shock could cause some components of the mask to break, such as the visor. The mask should be completely dried before being used for the next dive. Using a mask that is still wet in very cold environments will very likely lead to icing issues. Mixed gas diving Mixed gas diving may be necessary for scientific div ers in deep diving and when decompression gases are used (Kesling and Styron, 2006).If a full-face is used in m ixed gas dives, it should be connected to a specific manifold that allows switching between the different gases. The advantage of a full-face is that the diver avoids swapping of the second stages when shifting from the bottom mix to the travel and deco mix, which is needed when changing breathing gas using a standard SCUBA configuration. When using a communicator system, the diver will also be able to t alk with the surface thereby improving safety during critical moments such as during long decompressions. A limitat ion of the use of communicators is the maximum depth at which these are rated; if the planned depth of the dive is below the suggested li mits of the communicator device, it should not be used because it coul d be easily be damaged by pressure. The use o f a full-face, mostly if coupled w ith a communication system, may increase the breathing gas usage; therefore, an ac curate calculation of t he necessary gas should be part of the pre-dive pl anning especially f or deep dives (Robinson, 2012). The presence of helium in breathing gas causes a m odification in t he sound frequency with a shi ft towards high- pitched notes. As a consequence, clarity of speech is compromised and th is should be taken in to consideration when a communicator system is used (Tucker, 1986).

Free-flow under very cold temperatures is not only dangerous for the obvious reason of quickly consuming the breathing gas supply available, but also because the rapid gas expansion can f urther decrease the temperature (Joule-Thomson effect) generating extremely low values which can harm the diver who is breathi ng through the regulator. When diving in very cold water, there are two main advantages f or using a full -face: the diver’s face has better thermal insulation, and the second stage is far less prone to freezing. If the full -face mask is t o be rem oved in cold water, induced thermal shock m ay t rigger the m ammalian di ving reflex leading to bradycardia, which can be potentially dangerous for the diver (Robinson, 2012). It is important to ensure that before entering the water, the full-face and its second stage are maintained dry and insulated from the surrounding cold environment as much as possible until the very last moment. The diver should then wear the f ull-face and enter the water as soon as possible, refraining from breathing when still out of the wat er i n order to reduce poten tial freezing of the second stage due to i ce crystal formation from the moisture created by breathing. Therefore, correct functioning of the regulator should be checked with t he diver’s face b elow the water soon before starting the dive. Ice diving requires diving in an overhead environment where direct access to the surface is denied by the presence of ice; therefore, the diver must swim back to the entrance hole to exit. The use of a full-face equipped with communicators enhances the diver’s saf ety, allowing a continuous exchange of information with the surface team and, when tethered diving is p erformed, with the tender (Sheldrake et al., 2011 ). At the end of the dive, the full-face should be removed and placed i n an insulated bag to avoid ice formation. If the mask freezes, it should be placed in a warm environment to allow the ice to melt.

The full-face may also be connected through a manifold to another breathing gas source. This can be a bailout cylinder or, in case of deep and techn ical diving, multiple gas sources. Using a wi reless communicator can enhance the safety and profic iency of the divers allowing for discussion within the diving team and with the surface crew; the augmented breathing rate due to the use of vocal communication should be cons idered in planning adequate breathing gas availability. Tethered diving In this case, the diver is using SCUBA gear plus a tether connected to the surface and manned by a tender. Usually the diver is in water alone and a standby diver is ready to be deployed for assistance i f needed. The tether is also a physical link between the diver and surface and can be used to quickly guide the standby diver if necessary. Some potential for entanglement is present but the risk can be well controlled by corr ect management of the tether by the tender and diver. Because the diver is alone in water, an appropriate breathing system redundancy is necessary in the form of an independent air source (Sheldrake, 2011). The advantage of such a system is that along with the tether, it is possible to use a wired communicator that generally has be tter performance than the wireless. Moreover, by using this system the surface crew can continuously monitor the diver’s breathing sound and therefore be aware of any anomaly in its rate. A common application of this procedure is in ice diving where the tether is a physical safe connection between the diver and the hole in the ice canopy, which is the only exit point (Leinikki, 2004). Another application of tethered diving is in “Blue - water” diving where th e divers operate in the open ocean. In thi s case, multiple di vers are connected to a down line fixed to a surface float connected t o the diving platform.

The aim of using a physical connection for the divers is t o assure that they will stay on station without the risk of drifting or going below the planned maximum depth. A standby diver will be in charge of supervising the working divers. Usually, rope signals are used between th e divers (Haddock and Heine, 2005). In diving teams composed of divers from different nations, i t is necessary to agree on the rope signals used, as they vary considerably between countries. In this situation, the use of full-face masks equipped with communicators would allow divers to t alk providing advantages in terms of safety and qua lity of the scientific operation. Surface-supplied diving In sur face-supplied diving, breathing g as is provided from the sur face t hrough an umbilical. The obvious advantage of this system is that the breathing gas supply is theoretically never-ending and the diver does not have to carry cylinders. Another advantage of this system is that the breathing mix is delivered and controlled by the surface team, allowing the diver to focus on the work task (Humphrey et al., 2011). When using a full-face, the second stage of the mask is connected to a manifold that accepts the main supply form the umbilical (this must have a non-return valve installed) and t he bailout gas from the first stage on the bailout cy linder. The logistics involved in this type of diving can be complex and require the deployment of expensive equipment and the presence of a well -trained surface team that should include at least a primary and standby divers, divers’ tenders and one superv isor (Robinson, 2012). Rebreather diving The use of a full-face coupled with a rebreather may be cons idered when vocal communication between the diving tea m is unavoidable such as in some fi lming operations (Seymour, 2012 ).

If the full-face is to be used with gases with an oxygen content higher than 40%, it should be cleaned and prepared to oxygen standard to avoid potential oxygen ignition; such cleaning and preparation should be performed by a trained technician and only if the procedure is approved by the full-face maker (Lang, 2006). Polluted waters Divers may be requi red to collect samples in areas where some degree of pollution is expected. The protection offered by a full-face, even if used wi th a dry hood connected to a dry suit, is limited because the mask could be dislodged and there is a potential of leaks from the watertight seal and other areas (Table 1; Amson, 1991; Barsky, 2007; Harris, 2009; Naval Sea Systems Command, 2004; Steigleman, 2002). The pollution must therefore not be of such a level to present a risk of death or serious disability should the diver become contam inated. The Association of Diving Contractors International standards allow the use of a full-face in waters where a level of contamination can cause short-term health effects but will not cause lasting injury, disability or death (ADCI, 2011). If high levels of dangerous contam inants are present, more efficient protective gear is needed such as a diving helmet, and special diving proced ures should be followed. Most full-face masks are equipped with an “ on-demand ” regulator which, if the sealing between the mask and the diver's face is breached, will free-flow generating an inner over-pressure that is able to Using positive-pressure regulators can enhance protection from leaks inside the mask but requires the use of surface-supplied diving procedures, which are quite demanding in terms of logistic s, cost and equipment, and also limit the diver’s freedom of movement in the water. Moreover, water can enter the mask anyway if the breach is large or if the diver assumes some positions such as head-down; t herefore, protection from pollution offered by the over-pressure effect is quite limited.

The first stage should be equipped with a protective membrane, such as that used in anti- fr eezing kits, so as to avoid ingression of polluted water within the inner mechanism since some pollutants (e.g. volatile compounds) could migrate within the regulator and contaminate the breathing gas. Pollutants may also penetrate the second stage regulator's membrane or exhaust valves and a number of chemicals can also seep through the fabric o f a dr y suit or penetrate the walls of hoses or th e umbilical carrying the breathing gas, making diving in polluted water an extremely dangerous operation (Viking, 2001). Decontamination procedures should be adopted once the diver is ba ck on the surface and before removing the diving gear; this i s to avoid the contaminants present on the external surface of diving gear from entering into contact with the d iver's body. The decontamination wastes should also be correctly eliminated. The ground crew employed in decontamination procedures should wear appropriate protection to avoid being exposed to contam inants (EPA, 1997; Tulis and Langley, 1994). Decontamination procedures should be clearly described in the operation plan and the team should be trained in such procedures (Angelilli, 2012). In SCUBA mode, a secondary air source should be available. In sur face supplied, a non-return valve along the umbilical and a bailout system are mandatory. In mixed gas diving, each cylinder may be equipped with a second stage as an extra safety measure. Each technique has its advantages and limits. Moreover, specific safety rules need to be followed depending on the diving configuration adopted. When a full-face mask is used for SCUBA diving, some safety rules must be followed (Robinson, 2012; Barsky, 1994). ? Another independent air source, includ ing at least a second stage (octopus), shoul d be present. ? A spare half-mask should be carried and the diver should be proficient in removing the full-face and replacing it with the mask.

When using a full-face mask with a rebreather, the increased “dead space” in the breathing loop due to the larger volume of airspace within the mask should be considered; the use of oral-nasal inner mask or a two-section full-face with a detachable breathing pod can reduce this problem (Pyle, 1996). Changes in internal pressure due to the r espiratory cycle may affect the integrity of the mask seal (Robinson, 2012). CCR -oxygen based is another field of application for full-face allowing for better airways protection in high-oxygen exposure (Butler, 2004). The mask’s performance was considered satisfactory for use with the rebreather even though an increase of 29% in the respiratory effort of the rebreather was recorded (Stanek and Hedricks, 2003). This value is above the usual increase of 14% due to the use of a full- face and could be due to improper fitting of the oral-nasal mask (Warkander, 2010). If the diver were to become unconscious, wearing a full-face mask prevents water ingression both in the lungs and in the rebreather loop which increases the diver’s safe ty even in extreme situations (Verdier, 2007). Some of full-face m asks that a re currently available on the market are certified to be used with a CCR. Safety issues with a full-face mask As for any piece of equipment, a full-face mask presents some issues that need to be addressed for its safe and proficient use (Barsky, 1994; Robinso n, 2012) Loss of communication One of the main advantages in using a full-face is the possibility of talking with the diving team and the surface. If there is failure in the communication line, different approaches c an be followed depending on the type of diving that the diver is performing. SCUBA: In this case, it is possible to continue the dive given that hand signals are feasible and that the communication loss is not affecting the underwater activity (e.g.

if communicating is the only way for data collection during a scienti fic diving activity, the dive should be terminated ). ? Tethered: In this case, pr e-arranged rope signals can be used to maintain a degree of communication between the diver and the su rface. ? Surface-supplied: In this kind of dive, communication between diver and surface is mandatory and if it is lost, the dive must be terminated. Nevertheless, should this happen, i t is a very serious issue. A full-face with a broken faceport will flood immediately making communication impossible and making breathing through t he second stage regulator extremely difficult or unattainable. If this happens, the diver should replace the full-face w ith the spare mask and start breathing through the alternative a ir source, te rminating the d ive following a safe ascent to the surface. Water ingression In case of water ingression, the diver should assume a “ chin up ” position and press the second stage purge button. This action will start a free-flow of breathing gas within the mask pushing the water out through the exhaust system. This issue is generally not life threatening, but proper training is necessary in order to perform the dewatering operation quickly and proficiently. Sharing breathing gas The full-face can be equipped with a manifold and quick disconnection hoses so that one breathing gas source can be shared between two divers. A further alternative is the use of secondary regulators to be shared between the divers as in standard SCUBA configuration; in this case, the diver in need of breathing gas will replace the full face with the spare standard mask and breathe through the alternate regulator offered by the other diver. Specific training on these procedures is needed and th e skills should be periodically reviewed. In a gas-sharing situation, the dive needs to be terminated following a controlled ascent.

Sharing the full-face itself between divers is a very unlikely oper ation that would expose both divers to a very high level of risk; therefore, it should be avoided. Increased gas consumption When using a full-face mask, an increase in breathing gas usage is quite common. The main cause is often that a full-face is used with communicators and talking leads to higher breathing rates. Moreover, mostly during the ascending phase of the dive, some gas may escape from the watertight seal causing the regulator to undergo short free-flow bursts. The diver should therefore reassess the breathing rate when using the full-face in order to correctly plan breathing gas managem ent. Fogging In order to avoid fogging of the faceport, the inside of the mask should be maintained as dry as possible. For this reason, it should be put on before entering the water. In this case, two options are available: wait t o put on the mask until when in the water and just before starting the dive, or add a specific port t o the mask with a valve through which it is possible to breathe atmospheric air when on the surface. In the f irst case, attention should be given t o avoid getting the inside of the mask wet. The second solution requires add ing an atmosphere- breathing valve to the mask. The use of anti-fogging liquids is also an option, and for some models of full-face, it is the only option available. Equalization Because of the shape of the full-face, it is not possible to pinch the nose to equalize; depending on the model, different devices allow nostrils to be clo sed. For some divers the equalization procedure wi th a standard mask compared with a full-face is more difficult, but for others it is actually easier because of the free-nose breathing. Failure to equalize wi ll lead to termination of the dive. Full-face masks available on the market A number of full-face masks are available on the m arket.

Even thoug h they share some common features, there are differences in their technical characteristics due not only to the producer's choices but also to the market (i.e. commercial, military, rescue, law enforcement, recreational divers) that they are intended for. The following is a description of some full-face masks that are currently available (Table 2). The rubber models are more resistant to chemicals and tears, while the silicone models are more resistant to ozone, UV light, thermal extremes, and tend to fit small faces better since they are made smaller. The mask is held in place by a rubber head harness with stainless steel buckles. The visor is flat with side matte finish to avoid optical distortions. Small weights can be attached to the sides for buoyancy trimming. An inner oral-nasal mask with two one-way valves helps reduce CO 2 build-up and enhance the communication quality housing the microphoneAn equalizing pad is placed inside the oral-nasal mask and closes the nostrils when the m ask is pushed upward towards the face. The pad can be moved in different positions to fit the diver's nose. The air from the regulator flows along the visor with a defogging effect before entering the oral-nasal mask and then the exhaust air is vented through the baffles of the second stage. The second stage is a balanced on-demand regulator and it is available in a v ersion generating positive pressure equivalent to 35 mm (1.38 in) of water. A switch allows the positive pressure to be turned off when taking the mask off to avoid free-flow. This feature is derived from the original use of this full-face, which was for breathing protection in smoke-filled environments. In diving applications this impedes external water ingression, which is useful if diving in contaminated environments. A one-way valve prevents water flooding of the inner regulator mechanism to avoid corrosion and reduce potential freezing when diving in cold water.

The second stage is plugged into a central port below the visor and is held in pl ace by a bayonet connection and a retaining plate that acts as p lug for the m icrophone port when no communication system is used. The microphone has a similar plate to lock the regulator. The dedicated LP hose connection has a nut that needs to be hand- tightened; no tools are needed to do so. The mask can be drained by pushing the purge button on the second stage and maintaining a chin-up position. A mask that is completely flooded can be drained in just a few seconds. In case of free-flow, it is still possible to breathe because the over-pressure is vented through the regulator's baffles and the face seal. A HUD warning light can be clipped onto the right side of the visor giving a blink alert when the pressure inside the cylinders drops to 55 bar (798 psi) with a final continuous blinking at 10 bar (145 psi) before turning off (Barsky, 1994; I nterspiro, 2007). To reduce CO 2 build-up, the EXO-2BR has an inner oral-nasal mask that contains the microphone and equalizer, which is used to close nostrils. Several models of wireless communicators can be used with the full-face in SCUBA mode; when in surface-supplied mode, wired communicators can be used with a general improved quality of soun d. The earphone is included in a specific molded task, which is part of the sealing skirt of the mask. In surface-supplied mode, a bailout cylinder is mandatory to be connected to the manifold. The diver will be able to switch b etween the umbilical and th e cylinder if the main supply is lost. A quick disconnecting fitting can be used to make it easier to separate the bailout system from the mask for storage or servicing. The first stage of the bailout bottle should be equipped with a pressure release valve to prevent build up of pressure in the connecting hose and in the manifold in case of leakage. A pressure gauge should also be connected to t he bailout system.

Michael Jordan used it to score over his opponents on the way to NBA MVP and championship titles. The right way gets better results faster, the wrong way may get you there but it may take longer, or not at all. What got me to try out the Jump Manual was the free workout program workbook. This helped me figure out if the type of training included was a fit for me and also if what the author was saying actually worked or was it just another scam. Just go down to the bottom of the page and click on the button to get the ebook. This gets you a quick start into how the mind of the author works. It covers different topics all about the art of jumping higher. It listed everything that was to be done each day. This 2 week cycles would be repeated a few times through the entire program, which each cycle become more difficult. It helps improve your jumping ability by changing some of the things that you already do. In the end, I can say that getting the complete Jump Manual program saved me the time and work to get results. The preview is 100% free, no email address or credit card required, just download it below. That is not hype, it actually works. The full system takes you through every part of vertical jump training with chapters such as: Anyway, below is the download link for the preview. His goal is to provide clear information that simply works. Sports such as basketball as well as volleyball require you to leap all the way to your body permits. You will know the larger you can bounce, the better you will execute in these athletics, and so, it is likely you commit an enormous slice of your exercise sessions mastering your bounce (should you perform these athletics). Luckily, someone out there understood just what you re dealing with, and he specifically whatever you wanted to achieve, along with, first and foremost, knew the best strategies to allow you to have a greater, greater jump elevation. The face is actually Jacob Hiller, the actual founder with the Hop Handbook.

With the permission of Jacob Hiller, who is the program creator, I can now share with you a small fraction of it, which is the workout chart in a pdf file available for free download below. But before that, a few words about the program’s workouts themselves. The Workouts Before I started using the manual I thought I already know all the basic stuff there is to know about jumping, after all, I’ve been playing basketball from an early age in my childhood, and when it comes to it, I’m well versed about everything that has to do with the game. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I thought I was an expert, but I was pretty sure I knew a lot about everything that is related to basketball. The subject of jumping was no different, but as it turned out later I basically knew nothing, at least not about vertical leaping. When I first started working out with this program I was very surprised at how different it was from everything I knew, many exercises were totally new to me. Some exercises which I already knew, I was doing in a completely different manner and some exercises which I considered unnecessary turned out to be crucial. One of the things I gotta mention about the workouts is their intensity. I think the biggest and most prominent thing that makes this program standout from other programs out there is the intensity of it, it’s one of the most intense programs out there. Now I don’t want to scare you but, like I said in my review of the jump manual the workouts are not so easy, especially in the beginning. I had a hard time when I first began training with this program, the exercises were hard for me to execute and I had to adjust to this new level of intensity. The good news is that it gets easier after a while. The first week is the hardest but after that it’s much more flowing because your body is a lot more conditioned to do the exercises and you have adjusted to a new level.

The Jump Guide has helped many athletes attain their particular full potential in terms of bouncing. The item promises to allow you to gain no less than five inches on your jump, sometimes more for a few. It doesn t matter the age of you might be, and even should you not are part of the ethnic background with genetically substantial leaps. The Bounce Manual might help open all of your skills, before you are able to dous your ball if you are down below 6 feet tall. If you have seen videos of men and women undertaking Three hundred sixty dunks or attaining the top basketball board, after that chances are they have used the actual Jump Guide. It is simply stuffed towards the top of the glass in manners that can considerably enhance your leaping capability, and possesses taken off every one of the non-essential information which sometimes function not necessarily work or are usually counter-intuitive on your quest of having the ability to leap high. Here is the result of experience along with coaching, and it can certainly be your own for any very reasonable value. Thus regardless if you are taking part in sporting activities being a activity or even like a job, having a substantial vertical leap can be an advantage. Even in real world, being able to bounce large has its own utilizes, so not necessarily hesitate to own Hop Guide book an attempt today. It s the supreme guidebook in becoming able to leap all the way to it is possible to, and contains the additional advantage involving drastically enhancing your health and muscle tone. The product also comes with several reward things that you ll certainly really like. Download the jump manual full version free. Click here to DOWNLOAD now!!! The Exercises I’m not going to elaborate on each and every exercise here but as you can see from the chart, the program consists of many exercises. You’ll be able to gain a few insights after you download this free pdf chart. But, if the ultimate goal is to dunk and become a good jumper, then you’ll need more than that. If you’re really serious about increasing your vertical leap then go and buy The Jump Manual. My name is Jesse and I’m crazy about working out. I can’t go a day in life without running, jumping, or pushing something. Basketball has all three, so I guess it was unavoidable. If I’m not home or at work, I’m probably at the gym enjoying some quality time with the biggest love of my life. In this website I’m gonna be sharing knowledge and tips you could use to better yourself as a player and as an athlete, and help bring out your A-game. If you like the stuff you see here and want to know more about the man behind the curtains, come checkout my story. It’s something you can try for yourself to see if the book’s author has some useful things to say that will help you jump better or if it’s worthless or a scam. The problem was a lot of these training workouts tell us that we can gain a many inches but in the end we only see maybe 2 to 4 inches. And I suggest that you try it too. It isn’t focused just of working the legs but takes the athlete as a whole. Hint, it’s not about looks or the brand. That there are a few other things that are involved the process. You can read more in our review here. Some are off days where you don’t workout, other days are full workout days, and some are a mix of the two. See if they actually work or not. It doesn’t cost a thing and if it does work you would have added a few extra inches to your jump with little effort. The best part is that you’re starting to see gains in your vertical in just 2 weeks, it’s amazing. I myself gained about 2 inches in this period. Now you may say 2 inches are not much, but for me 2 inches were the difference between barely touching the rim to grabbing the rim. That’s huge! By the way, I was already in a pretty good shape when I started using the program because I was always working out and playing basketball regularly even before. Therefore, I didn’t think I should expect any results so fast, but as you can see this program is so effective in doing what is says, so imagine how much you can gain if you keep progressing at this rate. As for the exercises themselves I’m going to talk about them in this next section. The Workout Chart Before you download the chart I want to highlight some key important things and give you some general info on the exercises. This workout chart is very important, it is an integral part of the program and it’s basically the strategy or the blueprint that sets the structure of the training and tells you what to do when. While the chart is the strategy, the exercises are the tactics. They are the “how” and Jacob Hiller always stresses in the manual how critical it is that we perform the exercises in the right manner. For obvious reasons (mentioned above) I couldn’t reveal all of the chart, therefore many exercises are blurred. But there are still some things you can learn about the program with this chart. The chart is arranged in a 14 day cycle in which every day is dedicated to a different aspect of jumping, i.e. you’d be doing a different set of exercises each workout to target various aspects of jumping. This method of targeting multiple things at once is what Jacob calls the multi-facet approach, it basically means attacking the problem from all directions. This method is extremely effective and that’s what makes these workouts so unique.

Through one-on-one coaching you will get personal email of Jacob Hiller where you can talk with him or ask questions from him. These exercises focus on working with your own body weight that is the main reason you can perform these exercises anywhere. For this reason, Jacob explained how to build portable nutrition plan that you can carry anywhere. You have to access membership area every time you want to read the information. Jump Manual is the step-by-step vertical jump increasing program that takes some time. Recently Jacob Hiller did Skype chat with one of his program user who gained additional 4.5 inches in just 5 days. Here is the screenshot: This is just a small part of the whole program. Read this report below: Back to Top. That way, you get a taste of how it works and see for yourself if it delivers results. What made me change my mind was the Jump Manual free workbook offered by Jacob Hiller. Because it was a free download copy I said why not, and tried the different things. I didn’t have to lift any weights or make dozens of jumps. In fact I did everything without having to get away from the house. I’ve always assumed that jumping was all legs. So strengthening them, either through doing weights, ankle weights or repeated jumping was the answer. This was what many different jump training programs did. So it’s not just the legs but the entire person. Because of that approach it focuses on fixing our flexibility, power, explosiveness, strength and technique. It’s not just the legs, which are like the engine and wheels, but to make the race car run really fast, you need to feed it with proper fuel, motor oil and even make its design aerodynamic. These include: In total we repeat this 14 day cycle 6 times. This means the entire run of the program lasts for 12 weeks or 3 months. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Though, this will results in less gains. This is when the gains of 12 or more inches on your vertical comes in.

But they key I took away from their experiences was that each time you repeat you need to use more resistance or make the exercise more challenging. In fact, Jacob Hiller's Jump Manual remains one of the most popular jump programs of 2019. So, what makes the Jump Manual the best selling jump program of all-time? ? Does it really work. Does The Jump Manual get the results it claims? Can it really help you learn how to jump higher. I will answer all those questions and more as we take a look inside the latest version in this comprehensive review of The Jump Manual. When I first got my hands on a copy of the program in 2012 it was in the form of a bland downloadable PDF. The Jump Manual was the standalone vertical jump training program of the time. The content included was pure gold for a teenager like me. At that time of my life I was obsessed with learning how to increase vertical jump height so that I could achieve a school scholarship for basketball. This program was my introduction to jump training and where my obsession with dunking began. I followed the plan and improved my jump by around 10 inches that summer of 2012. The Jump Manual had me in the gym lifting heavy weights so I also packed on a heap of muscle mass. Looking back I realised that if I would have put more focus on nutrition and staying lean my vertical jump improvements would have likely been much higher. ( Note: Nutrition is now covered in great detail within the latest version of The Jump Manual). The Jump Manual definitely holds a special place in my heart. Over the years my jump training evolved. Over the past decade I have used other jump programs such as body-weight only options like Vert Shock, strength protocols like 5 x 5 strong lifts and everything in between. I decided it was time to revisit The Jump Manual and undertake a thorough review on behalf of the Vertical Jump World community. I purchased the new and improved online Jump Manual system and fired it up.

These foods also increase flexibility and quickness that contributes towards jumping higher. Jacob Hiller also explained how to create your own portable nutrition plan that you can carry anywhere. Simply put, my goal is to make this the most thorough Jump Manual review online. I have covered everything you need to know, so that if you are deciding to purchase the Jump Manual, you can do so with confidence. Once you purchase the program you will gain direct access to the interactive jump system. Yep, you can get started today with the ability to download the full system instantly. The Jump Manual contains 12 chapters of absolutely everything you will need to know in order to increase your vertical jump (Well, of course you still have to do the hard work!). Below you will see a few screen shots I took which display the overall layout of the Jump Manual program. Although the program design is not as slick and high tech as.

I would like to see Jacob Hiller give this program design a bit of a freshen up so that the look can match the the quality of the content he provides.Jump Manual Workout 1: This workout focuses on Resistance is also added to really get those muscle fibres firing. The emphasis placed on lifting weights for vertical jump optimisation is a vital addition that sets The Jump Manual apart from other jump programs. Many other popular programs focus more on explosive shock training based body-weight exercises, as opposed to The Jump Manual heavily emphasises resistance based exercises in combination with plyometric exercise. Jump Manual Workout 2: This workout is named the core series. Yep, you guessed it. This component focuses on a range of exercises that are designed to strengthen the core. Jacob explains why core training is often an overlooked component in many popular jump programs. He explains how this links the upper and lower limbs to maximize jump bio-mechanics while also improving stability and reducing injury risk. Jump Manual Workout 3: This workout sees the participant lifting some serious weights and participating in the most well prescribed variety of vertical jump exercises we have seen included in a jump training system. Be prepared to perform squats, deadlifts and other strength exercises that will get you stronger than ever before. Of course lifting comes with a great risk of injury. Jacob does a nice job of explaining every exercise to ensure you do them effectively and safely. These weight exercises will not only improve your vertical jump but will also dramatically help other strength based aspects of your sport (for example boxing out and rebounding in basketball). Jump Manual Workout 4: These are your “off day” recovery exercises. On these days you will work on stretching to increase your vertical jump height by enhancing flexibility and mobility, while also performing some light jumps to keep the tendons firing.

You know that pain when you cant sit down after a heavy leg day due to extreme muscle pain. This can really affect performance in some cases so it is definitely something to consider. If you believe this may be an issue for you it may be a wiser choice to select a quality jump program that doesn’t focus on so much heavy lifting yet still guarantees results. How Often Will I Need To Train On The Jump Manual. Workouts 1,3 and 4 are performed once per week while the core series is performed on twice per week. So be prepared to workout at least 5 days per week with some light stretching on most days. The Jump Manual guarantees an increase of 10 inches in vertical jump height in 12 weeks or your money back. I love it when jump program developers like Jacob Hiller stand behind their programs by offering such a generous guarantee. This guarantee makes The Jump Manual a great low risk opportunity for those of you who are looking to improve your vertical jumping ability this year. Mr Jacob Hiller's vast jump training experience shines through in The Jump Manual. The science based vertical jump enhancement principles included have been proven to work for over a decade. Basically, The Jump Manual contains all of the information you need to add inches to your jump height over a matter of weeks. Unfortunately, The Jump Manual feels a little outdated and lacks the engaging features which we have come to expect in the new era of jump programs. In this day and age we want content that bright and shiny. Sometimes the Jump Manual feels a little dull when compared to other jump programs. However, the quality of the content included makes up for it's shortcomings in design. Hopefully The Jump Manual will undergo another presentation focused update sometime in the near future.

The Jump Manual does a great job of thoroughly explaining every element of the jump enhancement process including: strength explosiveness nerve recruitment fuel, stability form flexibility body composition genetic aspects plus much more. Diving Deep Into Jacob Hiller's Jump Program Jump Manual Layout Screenshot: Looks A Little Outdated But Is Very Easy To Navigate The Jump Manual is a comprehensive 12 week vertical jump program that guarantees significant enhancement of your vertical jump or your money back. It is always best to test your vertical jump height before starting to get a baseline measure before starting any jump training protocol. The Jump Manual provides a way to track your progress which is a very helpful addition that many other programs seem to neglect. It is also important to note that if you want to get the most out of The Jump Manual you will require some vertical jump training equipment such as dumbbells, barbells and a few resistance bands. Main topics covered within the Jump Manual: Jump Manual Menu Tab 1: Essential Variables of Explosiveness: This section outlines what Jacob Hiller considers essential to developing explosiveness. There are 9 variables which he states must be followed in order to achieve ones vertical jump potential. I have listed all of these 9 areas further along in this post for you to check out. Jacob Hiller does a fantastic job of justifying the vertical jump training principles incorporated in the program for the most part. However, at one stage he states that muscle fiber type can’t be changed. Science has now proven Jacob's statement to be wrong. Please take a read of this great research article if you would like to learn more about how specific training can change muscle fiber type. So what does this mean if you decide to follow the Jump Manual. Basically The Jump Manual will provide you with the stimulus required to increase fast twitch fibers and help boost your jumping ability fast.

Sure it won't happen overnight but overtime you will slowly and surely become a more explosive athlete at a sub-cellular level. Jump Manual Menu Tab 2: The Science Of Optimal Results: In this section Jacob Hiller delves deeper into the justification of his exercises prescription protocols. Unfortunately, although what he is saying is spot on most of the time he fails to cite many credible sources which would help increase the credibility of his statements. Jacob Hiller is a very knowledgeable and qualified trainer. It seems as though he has relied on his own knowledge and expertise rather than feel the need to justify every reference every comment made. For example, he states that all lifts should be undertaken at 85% of your one rep max. This information is perfectly fine and will help you on your journey to a higher vertical. However when undertaking our Jump Manual review we would have like to see some evidence to back up claims such as this. Jacob Hiller obviously studies the literature and simply couldn’t be bothered to cite references on topics like this. Jacob does indeed address this interesting scientific fact in a roundabout way by suggesting that inexperienced lifters should undertake lower load higher rep training. If you are a beginner or intermediate athlete you will most likely derive great benefits from training at 85% of max load. Experienced lifters may eventually plateau out on the program. Jacob Hiller recommends that you follow the program for 12 weeks straight. After this time you can start the program again or contact Jacob Hiller to personality modify your program to progress you to an elite jumper. He follows his spiel on strength training up with some nice information on plyometric training. He then gets into a very brief section on complex training.

And in some cases, firearms may be stored for a length of time before they are shipped. For the date, see October 22. It uses a patented 10-round rotary magazine, though higher capacity box magazines are also available. Its easy handling characteristics, negligible recoil, and inexpensive ammunition nonetheless make it ideal for young or inexperienced shooters.Threaded holes on the handguard provide the customization of optional attachment rails. The 22 Charger originally came with a black laminated wood pistol stock with forend, a 10-inch (254 mm) matte blued heavy barrel, a bipod, and a Weaver style scope base in lieu of iron sights. Overall length is just under 20 inches (510 mm), making it quite large for a handgun. As it has an included bipod it is likely to be used from a shooting bench or table. The bipod attaches to a sling swivel on the stock fore-end and is easily removable. Both models were later offered from September 2015 with black polymer stocks.See the entry on accurizing for more information on the reasons for these modifications. It comes in at a mere 5 pounds without the suppressor.Aftermarket options include 25-, 30-, and 50-round box magazines; 50-round teardrop-shaped rotary magazines, and 50- and 110-round drum magazines. This allows the magazine to be very compact and fit flush into the rifle without protruding from the stock at the natural balance point for one-handed carry. The bolt of the rifle pushes a cartridge from the metal feeding lip of the magazine with each shot, allowing the next cartridge to feed into place. Even Ruger's market competitor Savage Arms has recently adopted a detachable rotary magazine design similar to the BX-1 in its new A series (semi-automatic) and B series (bolt-action) rimfire rifles.Pennsylvania: Scott A. This system allows the shooter to recover faster, for quicker and more accurate sequential shots. An extremely low bore axis compliments the KRISS Super V Recoil Mitigation System by aligning the barrel with the user’s arm. This allows the user's body to work together with the KRISS Super V System for maximum control. These design features, rare in submachine guns, were chosen to enhance the safety of the user and to have a more reliable firearm. It features the SIG Sauer short stroke push-rod gas system to reduce the recoil and improve the reliability of the weapon. This means the bolt remains to the rear when the weapon is cocked, and on pulling the trigger the bolt moves forward under spring pressure, stripping the round from the magazine, chambering it and firing the weapon all in the same movement. There is no breech locking mechanism, the rearward movement of the bolt caused by the recoil impulse is arrested only by the mainspring and the bolt's inertia. The basic operating principles were like those of the German MP40, Russian PPSh-41, US M3 submachine gun and numerous other designs. These shared similar attributes and faults; they were simple and cheap to manufacture, and put an automatic weapon into the hands of soldiers, greatly increasing the short-range firepower of the infantry, especially when the main infantry weapon was a bolt-action rifle capable of only around 15 rounds per minute and not suited for short-range combat. However, the open-bolt firing mechanism, short barrel, and use of pistol ammunition severely restricted accuracy, with an effective range of around 100m. It was a common sight in the media of the time, being used by both law enforcement officers and criminals. It has since gained popularity among civilian collectors for its historical significance. Late M1s had triangular guard wings added to the rear L sight, which were standardized on the M1A1. The slots adjoining the magazine well allowing the use of a drum magazine were removed. The Cutts compensator, barrel cooling fins, and Blish lock were omitted while the buttstock was permanently affixed. Late production M1 stocks were fitted with reinforcing bolts and washers to prevent splitting of the stock where it attached to the receiver. The British had used improvised bolts or wood screws to reinforce M1928 stocks. The M1 reinforcing bolt and washer were carried over to the M1A1 and retrofitted to many of the M1928A1s in U.S. and British service. The modular fiber-reinforced polymer receiver guarantees the necessary ruggedness with minimized overall weight. As a typical member of the HK family of weapons, the UMP is a highly effective, economical alternative for military and law enforcement applications. Smaller variants are often considered to be machine pistols. The Uzi was one of the first weapons to use a telescoping bolt design which allows the magazine to be housed in the pistol grip for a shorter weapon. The first Uzi submachine gun was designed by Major Uziel Gal in the late 1940s. The prototype was finished in 1950. First introduced to IDF special forces in 1954, the weapon was placed into general issue two years later. The Uzi has found use as a personal defense weapon by rear-echelon troops, officers, artillery troops and tankers, as well as a frontline weapon by elite light infantry assault forces. The Uzi has been exported to over 90 countries.

Featuring a compact bullpup design with an integrated reflex sight and fully ambidextrous controls, the P90 is an unconventional weapon with a futuristic appearance. In the United States, the P90 is in use with over 200 law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service. Created for use in very confined spaces, it is optimally suited both for active engagement of individual targets, and for personal defense.Tremendously reliable, with maximum safety for the user, easy to handle, modular, extremely accurate and extraordinarily easy to control when firing. Despite its integrated silencer element, it has the same length and shape as an unsilenced submachine gun. Unlike most conventional silenced submachine guns, it fires standard ammunition types with the same effect. The use of special subsonic ammunition is not necessary. The integrated silencer element suppresses the muzzle flash extremely effectively, as a result of which the weapon is also excellent for night operations using low-light amplifiers. No wonder the MP5SD is one of the most accurate silenced submachine guns of its type. Developed as a genuine personal defense weapon, it far exceeds the NATO requirements profile. The MP7 is extremely compact, lightweight, can be used in very confined spaces, and is practically recoil-free. It can be carried continuously, making it the ideal personal weapon for the soldier of today. Those who carry it will be suitably armed for the broadest range of operations. Comparing the calibers, the penetration and terminal effects of the 4.6 mm x 30 cartridge are several times those of the standardized 9 mm x 19 cartridges. By way of illustration: The new high-performance caliber penetrates the NATO CRISAT TARGET (1.6 mm titanium and 20 layers of Kevlar) even at 200 m. One fundamental requirement: At the same time, the risk of overpenetration is reduced to a minimum. This myth stems from a US Army training film portraying the M3 as more accurate than its counterparts.

Over its service lifetime, it has been manufactured by Israel Military Industries, FN Herstal, and other manufacturers. From the 1960s through the 1980s, more Uzi submachine guns were sold to more military, law enforcement and security markets than any other submachine gun ever made. Since then, it’s grown to be perhaps the most popular assault rifle, with at least 75 million units built. This rifle also has a long history with political, revolutionary, and terrorist movements. It started as a pivotal part of the Soviet Army following World War II. That makes this an especially good choice for political or history buffs. Although the weapon did see some action in World War I, the BAR became standard issue in the US Army in 1938, when it was issued to squads as a portable light machine gun. The BAR saw extensive service in both World War II and the Korean War and saw limited service in the Vietnam War. The modular design currently enables users to change the caliber of the weapon to 5.56x45mm or 7.62x39mm intermediate cartridges by quick change of barrel with gas tubes, breech block, magazine bay and magazine. The CZ 805 BREN is used by the Czech military, Indonesian special forces, Mexican police, Slovak Army, Egyptian airborne forces and Republican Guard. This trigger when in set mode, is lighter and crisper than the PSG1 trigger group. Further, and quite surprising, is the addition of fully automatic capability on top of everything else. This appears to be a rifle designed to cover all contingencies. This trigger group is even more like a Swiss watch inside than even the ambidextrous burst groups. Exhaustively tested and currently fielded with the German and Spanish Armed Forces the G36 is also used by military, law enforcement, and government customers of more than 40 countries. The M16A2 weapon system was developed at the request of the United States Marine Corps to improve on the M16A1 and went into large scale production by 1987.

Improvements included a thicker barrel in front of the front sight, modified flash suppressor (closed on bottom), new polymer buttstock (lighter and stronger, faster barrel twist (from 1:12 to 1:7) and spent case deflector for left-hand users. Cartridges are magazine fed, and firing is achieved via a direct impingement gas operating system. The upgrade was considered a success, however, there were tradeoffs. The M2 included a heavier 30- round magazine which put greater strain on the magazine catch. This necessitated the development of a studier catch. This further required a modification on the slide, sear and stock. When engaged in full automatic fire, the T4 model could shoot off 750 rounds a minute while generating a manageable recoil. The military issued soldiers field conversion kits (T17 and T18) to easily convert M1s into serviceable M2s. The M4A1 trigger group operates on either Safe, Semi-Automatic, or Fully Automatic settings. Cartridges are the 5.56x45mm (.223) NATO cartridge that is magazine fed. Firing is achieved via a direct impingement gas operating system. It is primarily used by special operations. The Mini-14 rifle employs an investment cast, heat-treated receiver and is mechanically similar to the M1 rifle, with a self-cleaning, fixed-piston gas system. Initial rifles were produced with a complex, exposed bolt hold open device with no button for manual engagement. Stocks were somewhat angular and heat shields were made of wood. These rifles, with serial number prefixes before 181, were tooled and redesigned with a new stock, new bolt hold-open mechanism, and other small changes. The standard Mini-14 was discontinued and the name became the family name for all Mini-14 type rifles. As of 2005, all Mini-14 type rifles are now based on the Ranch Rifle design, with integral scope bases, a non-folding ghost ring aperture rear sight and a winged front sight similar to that used on the Ruger Police Carbine.

These upgraded rifles have serial numbers beginning with 580 and are sometimes referred to as 580 series Ranch Rifles. They also have a new modified gas system designed to reduce barrel vibration and are capable of shooting 2-inch groups at 100 yards (2 minute of angle (MOA) accuracy). The side-folding polymer stock is fully adjustable for comb height, length of pull, and is colored authentic Flat Dark Earth (FDE). Fully ambidextrous operating controls instantly adapt the FN SCAR 17 to any user. The receiver-integrated MIL-STD-1913 optical rail plus three accessory rails enable mounting of a wide variety of tactical lights and lasers. The side-folding polymer stock is fully adjustable for comb height, length of pull, and is colored authentic Flat Dark Earth (FDE). The M240 is one of the most essential and widely used small arms in Iraq and Afghanistan. The M240 B’s cold hammer-forged MIL-SPEC barrel has a hard-chromed bore for longer life and improved accuracy. The receiver is machined steel and is equipped with a top-mounted MIL-STD- 1913 optical rail. The cross-bolt safety and curved trigger help enhance operator control. It is much shorter and considerably lighter than the regular M249. The M60's operating system of an operating rod turning a rotating bolt was inspired by the FG 42, which was based on the much earlier Lewis Gun. The M60 was designed for mass production, just like the MG42 it was based on. While the M1919 required much machining for its large, recoil operated internal mechanisms, the M60's stamped sheet receiver had a gas operated, carrier-cammed bolt mechanism; the same type of mechanism was used on the Lewis machine gun. The straight-line layout allowed the operating rod and buffer to run directly back into the buttstock and reduce the overall length of the weapon.

It is most notable for its very high cyclic rate for a gun using full power service cartridges, averaging about 1,200 rounds per minute compared to around 850 for the MG 34, and perhaps 450 to 600 for other common machine guns like the M1919 Browning or Bren. The MK 46 MOD 1’s cold hammer- forged MIL-SPEC barrel has a hard-chromed bore for longer life, improved accuracy and serves as the mounting point for the carry handle. The receiver is formed steel and is equipped with a top-mounted MIL-STD-1913 optical rail. A hydraulic buffer greatly reduces recoil, helping the operator keep more rounds on target. The cross-bolt safety and curved trigger help enhance operator control. In use by U.S. special operators, it was designed to be light and compact enough to keep up with fast-moving troops as they maneuver on and close with the enemy. The MK 48 MOD 1 incorporates improved receiver pins, a new gas block and a vented hand guard with improved heat shield and three MIL-STD-1913 rails. The MK 48 MOD 1’s cold hammer-forged MIL-SPEC barrel has a hard-chromed bore for longer life, improved accuracy, and serves as the mounting point for the carry handle. The cross-bolt safety and curved trigger help enhance operator control. An air-cooled development of the standard US machine gun of World War I, the John M. Browning-designed M1917, the M1919 saw service as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft, and anti-aircraft machine gun by the U.S. and many other countries. Although it began to be superseded by newer designs, such as the M60, in the latter half of the century, it remained in use in many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries and elsewhere for much longer. In the UK, production was chiefly by BSA.Invented by Richard Gatling, it saw occasional use by the Union forces during the American Civil War in the 1860s, which was the first time it was employed in combat.

It was later used in numerous military conflicts, including the Boshin War, the Anglo-Zulu War, and the assault on San Juan Hill during the Spanish American War. Each barrel fired a single shot when it reached a certain point in the cycle, after which it ejected the spent cartridge, loaded a new round, and, in the process, allowed the barrel to cool. This configuration allowed higher rates of fire to be achieved without the barrels overheating. American forces in the Vietnam War, which used helicopters as one of the primary means of transporting soldiers and equipment through the dense jungle, found that the thin-skinned helicopters were very vulnerable to small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attacks when they slowed down to land.Several larger aircraft were outfitted with miniguns specifically for close air support: the Cessna A-37 Dragonfly with an internal gun and with pods on wing hardpoints; and the Douglas A-1 Skyraider, also with pods on wing hardpoints. Other famous gunship airplanes are the Douglas AC-47 Spooky, the Fairchild AC-119, and the Lockheed AC-130. For a better experience, please enable JavaScript in your browser before proceeding. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. You had to manually rack the bolt each time. I'm wanting to build a 22 rifle for a suppressed application, and was interested in the Aguila SSS ammo. Holding the bolt closed would fix some of this. Many suggest using a bolt action instead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks I presume there is a reason they do so??? The magnet should hold you over for a bit though. Not too sure about the 60 gn sss though. There's not enough recoil energy involved to be an issue that you might break a finger or anything. If you're worried about it, just hold your hand on it without gripping the stock and try it. This way you can let your hand float to get a feel for it.
